Our deeply loved colleague Rob Wayne died suddenly in March. The Christchurch Transitional Cathedral was packed for Rob’s memorial service. Rob was a disproportionate blessing to all who knew him. His decades of compassionate work at Christian World Service to improve the quality of life of many of the world’s poorest people sets a high standard for the continuation of the CWS mission. Rob is now, and will always be, deeply missed as the following tributes reveal:
Social Empowerment Education Programme, Fiji:
“Rob was such a wonderful person. I am picturing his smiling face right now, his questions, his quick response that was well thought through and careful, his patience. What a loss.”
Tonga Community Development Trust:

“My heart is broken! OMG! I am in total shock on seeing this message. What a dark moment for us. Rob, your memories, the times we had in Kampala in 2016 your smiles to me a few weeks ago through video breaks my heart so deeply.”
May all who grieve his passing know the comfort of the Holy Spirit – Christ in us, our hope.
