Small-scale fish workers are facing challenges from every direction on the coast of Tamil Nadu. The climate crisis may prove the biggest but for now, they need to focus on survival.
By working very hard and together, they earn just enough to support their families – most are the sole income earners.

Its 7 indicators concern pollution, marine and coastal ecosystems, ocean acidification, fishing, conservation, fishing subsidies and access for small island states, small-scale artisanal fish workers and international law to create ‘the future we want’.
