Christian World Service’s new national director says the role and its possibilities will be the pinnacle of her career.
Two-term chair of the Council for International Development, Pauline McKay, has been announced new Christian World Service national director. She replaces Jonathan Fletcher.
Pauline currently works in Geneva in human resources for the World Health Organisation. After 15 years overseas, she is keen to move back to New Zealand.
Pauline brings a range of skills and experience to the directorship of Christian World Service. She has strong human resource and financial management experience, a strong commitment to justice, depth of experience in Christian and secular organisations in New Zealand and overseas, and development experience. Pauline has international conference organisation skills, and has worked in coordination and promotion roles, latterly in health development.
Pauline was national YWCA co-director, HART national chairwoman, Africa Information Centre manager, worked with the Waitangi Consultancy Group and organised the World Council of Churches assembly when it was held in Zimbabwe.
She is scheduled to start work at Christian World Service in the New Year.
