Growing Hope in Fiji — MWF Special Project 2027
In 2027, Christian World Service invites the Methodist Women’s Fellowship to help sustain a momentum of compassion by supporting long‑term, life‑changing work in Fiji. This year’s special project focuses on empowering women, youth and rural families through sustainable agriculture.
Many rural families in Fiji face significant challenges despite living in fertile farming communities.
More than 40% of people in some rural areas experience poverty, and many farming families struggle to earn reliable incomes from the land. Limited training, difficult access to markets, isolation and a lack of business skills often prevent farmers from achieving their potential.
Women frequently carry the responsibility of feeding families and caring for children and older family members, while young people often leave rural communities in search of opportunities elsewhere. SEEP works alongside communities to build confidence, skills and practical solutions that allow families to create a more secure future for themselves.
