Christian World Service has been closely monitoring the devastating and unprecedented flood of ice and mountain debris that poured through Nepal killing hundreds and resulting in thousands being declared as missing.

When any form of disaster strikes at such scale (as was the case recently with the Venezuela double earthquake) our routine is to swiftly connect with the ACT Alliance Rapid Response team in Geneva. Within hours they were in contact with their trusted partner Nepal Forum to undertake an urgent assessment of needs and where best to focus their resources.
