Conflict and Peace

• Peace Sunday Resources August 6, 2023, Witness for Peace, focusing on Peacemaking as part of faith.  The resources highlight the Pacific Conference of Churches and the call for global prayer for peace and reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula – August 13.  Rev Dr Joohong Kim and Rev Richard Lawrence have contributed background material and prayers.  This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice Agreement which is not a peace treaty.  Download this year’s Peace Sunday Slide or as a PDF.

• Peace Sunday Resources August 5, 2018: “The Bread of God… gives life to the World” with the spotlight on bread and peace.  Remembering the harm of nuclear weapons and testing, the liturgy, Biblical reflections and stories focus on peacemaking, especially the role of churches in South Sudan.
